Lobby Day

Coordinate the participation by Landscape Architects in the annual NYS/AIA Lobby Day. Activities include scheduling of meetings, preparation of presentation material, background information, and discussions of our needs as a profession relating to current legislation with key legislators. Lobby Day is held each spring in April or May, or occasionally as late as June. As it approaches more information will be posted, or visit the respective Chapter websites for more information.

Legislative Tracking

Tracking of licensing, practice, liability, environmental, and other important legislation affecting our profession. Legislation tracking provides information in a timely manner whereby The Council is able to garner support or opposition for legislation. This service allows The Council to be pro-active rather than reactive to legislative actions.

LA and the Law Brochure

NYSCLA Display Tower

NYSCLA has created a brochure for use in educating municipal officials, design professionals, potential clients and other applicable parties. It is a concise handout that explains what LA's do, what the laws regarding LA's state and why it is important to engage one. Please download it and use it when needed.

NYSCLA has created a portable display tower that can be used at trade shows, professional events, educational gatherings, continuing education seminars, etc. If you think it would be useful at your even please contact the Secretary for more information.
